Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Breakers Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Holy Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
We Believe
We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, fully trustworthy and authoritative. It is the foundation for our faith and the guide for how we live.
We Believe
We believe in one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is at work in the lives of people.
We Believe
GOD IS OUR CREATOR is eternal, infinite, sovereign, and unsearchable. God is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, and unchanging. God is holy, just, and righteous. God is love, gracious, merciful, and good.
We Believe
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and gave Himself as the atoning sacrifice for our sins through His death on the cross. He rose again on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and continues to intercede for us.
We Believe
We believe in the DEITY and PERSONHOOD of the HOLY SPIRIT. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, regenerates sinners, and indwells believers. The Holy Spirit seals believers unto the day of redemption, illuminates hearts and minds through the Word of God, and is sovereign in the distribution of spiritual gifts.
We Believe
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, and that God is the Creator of all things. Through an act of disobedience and free will, humanity fell into sin.
We Believe
We believe humanity’s only hope of redemption is found in Jesus Christ. Salvation is by grace through faith in Him, and through His death on the cross, He made full provision for our salvation and healing.
